About me:
My new book entitled, "The 13th Amendment Freedom Week Manual"
I am an advocate of "true" free market economics, limited government and personal responsibility. I have written a book entitled, "The 13th Amendment Freedom Week Manual". It is about the anti-slavery movement, and the people and institutions that helped to end slavery. It also outlines the process of establishing a "freedom week" celebration based upon the ratification date of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I am a big admirer of both Booker T. Washington and Frederick Douglass. I do have a B.S. degree in Economics and a Dual Masters in Finance and International Business.

"Uncle Tom"??

The black Democrats are the real "sell-outs"! They have sold us out to the slave master Democrat Party with their votes and have put us back on the plantation of "big government" dependency. The reason that they want to label others as Uncle Toms is to hide their ignorance of themselves. They could never qualify to be an Uncle Tom based upon the ficticious character in "Uncle Tom's Cabin" which most of them have never read. He was a good man, a strong man, a man full of love, and a God fearing m… Continue

Big Business, "Organized Crime", and Real Prosperity

Big Business, “Organized Crime”, and Real Prosperity
by ChaplainTommy Davis (notes) Friday, September 25, 2009 at 4:30pm

I had a fellow state to me that Republicans are for big business and don’t care about the black community. He went on to spew forth how they (the government) should tax the rich and provide tax breaks to the people at the bottom. He seemed to blame the deficient economy and the state of the black community on capitalism and the Republicans. Thus, he voted Democrat.

Response to the question on "What do you think about bailouts?"

I am totally against the government bailing out any private company. In a free society people have a guaranteed right to pursue success or failure. But nobody is guaranteed to succeed. I believe in the free market. I believe that the free market can regulate the economy and can reward or punish companies fairly through the market forces. Through competition the market provides its on checks and balances. I believe the only solution to the American economic problems is to go more and more towards… Continue

I am Dr. Jean Howard-Hill and I head the National Republican African American Caucus - NRAAC.

The NRAAC creates a new, exciting and positive relationship between the Republican Party and the African-American community; and increases the visibility and ranks of African-American Republicans who share some of the same core values as the Party.

The uniqueness of our organization is two fold:

1. Ninety percent (90%) of our membership are new republicans! This means we have successfully recruited from a fresh pool of voters who were either Independents, Democrats or non-voters.

2. The membership consist of ninety-nine percent (99%) African America people of faith, with more than seventy-five percent (75%) of its membership coming from the African American clergy and those in ministry, and ninety-five percent (95%) of its leadership being clergy and those in some form of ministry.

The NRAAC also serves as a conduit for addressing issues and concerns that are unique to the African-American community, and opportunities to work together with the Republican Party, and elected officials to find workable and amicable solutions. The creation of the organization offers hope for the betterment of the total community by building a stronger, more diverse, and more stable political environment, that strengthens our families, communities, and nation.

Our goal is 1 million by 2012, and 100,000 in 2010. You may ask why so many? As one who teaches Political Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, let me explain why. It is because political strength is in numbers! If you can show you have a substantial number of people who can stand as a voting block, and have the ability to finance your own cause, then you become a significant player within the political landscape. This is how we as African Americans get to the table, have a voice and are placed ourselves in appointed and elected positions.

The NRAAC website at www.nraacaucus.org, contains more information on the organization and its projects.

Also we have begun to make new appointments of regional and state chairs, and advisory board and national board members for 2010. If you are interested, and have decide to become a member, you may submit your name, bio/resume for consideration to jean.howard.hill@gmail.com or chair@nraacaucus.org .

Feel free to e-mail me at jean.howard.hill@gmail.com or jean-howard-hill@utc.edu, and to pass this e-mail on to anyone who may be interested. Tennessee, Ohio and Florida’s websites are up. They can be accessed at www.tnraacaucus.org, www.ohraacaucus.org, and www.flraacaucus.org The websites for other states should be up by the end of November 2010. We welcome members from all states!

I look forward to hearing from you, having you join our membership, and even seeing you at the April 16th – 17th NRAAC Conference. Our theme is: Setting the Republican Agenda to Include People of Color.

I have been buying stocks for over ten years, and just decided I wanted to be able to make money in any enviroment especially with this new administration.

Hi Kariem,

Are you attending the Tea Party Protest this morning? Call me if you like, 314-352-2175 (please leave a message if I don't answer).

Here's the info I received from the organizer, Bill Hennessey--pass it on if you can:

VIDOGRAPHERS: Email bill@hennessysview.com, subj: VIDEO LINK if you plan to video tape tomorrow's protest. I will send you the login information to upload your videos to the official TV site for the event.

Follow the signs for Riverboat parking. It's $4.00, but it's by far the most convenient.

The media will be out in force. Some will challenge you on Republican spending and Republican votes in Congress. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! We are CONSERVATIVES demanding that Congress REPEAL these irresponsible bills or RETIRE. And we will retire them. Are you listening Specter? Snow? Collins?

The Weather: High 42, Partly Cloudy, 10% chance of precip, wind from North at 18. (Prepare for high wind. Bring weights for paper, posters, etc.)

10:00 is a good time to start showing up.

NFL Hall of Famer Jackie Smith will lead us in the National Anthem!!!!!

We have protesters coming from Kansas City, Springfield IL, and other distant places.

WEAR SOMETHING RED: We represent the blood of the patriots who purchased our freedom with blood, sweat, toil, and tears from Boston to Baghdad.

Be patient with protesters. Stay on message with reporters. You don't have to attempt to answer any question from the press. If you don't have a good answer, simply say, "Congress will Repeal the Pork, or we will Retire them from public office in 2010 at the ballot box." It's not rude; it's how the press is handled. If you ARE comfortable answering responsively, please do so.

At the designated time, we begin the official ceremonies:

-Pledge
-National Anthem led by NFL Hall of Famer Jackie Smith
-Speakers
-Official activities:
-- Signing the Petition
-- Signing Tea Bags (we'll provide labels to stick on)
-- Tea Dump in the River
-A final thank you from the organizers
End

God bless,
Amy

Kariem, your thoughts are right on target. There is no shortage of economic pundits prescribing laissez faire solutions. This is similar to the "compassion" arguments about raising the minimum wage to eliminate poverty. Raise the minimum wage and you destroy new jobs. Subsidize poverty and you get more poverty. Tax business revenues you reduce total revenues due to tax avoidance and dried up investments.

Black Americans are so strung out on FDR-ism and the compassion of the reinstated welfare state that entrepreneurship and financial literacy suffer as community objecvtives. I am working with Operation HOPE and a special initiative to train ex-offenders to be entrepreneurs in the inner-cities of America as a program at CORE-Chicago where I am the Chairman.

Persons of Islamic faith in America are truly blessed to have natural muslims amongst the throngs of Africamn-Americans: persons amenable to become slaves of the One true God as Jesus and the Last Messenger peace and blessings be upon him.
Black Republicans arise when Malik Shabazz is freed from Malcolm X in the balck psyche. The richness of malik-ness with its international Garveyite Pan-Africanist post-Malcolm X- Shabazz phase was the harbinger of true religious freedom and diversity but for the vanquished dreams of Malcolm Little and Robert Elijah Poole.
The challenge of the One Party system of acceptable "black" politics which brooks no tolerance for dissension against Obama, the challenge of mis-historians who are "hustling" with Lincoln's image and using collectivism as a ruse to raise taxes to expand a dependent welfare state, the challenge of the spigot-turned-on spending orgy which will create worthless money and mortgage the future of our grandchildren while building more powerful patronage machines in the Democratic states to ensure a political windfall for the One Party State in America. The challenge of being an uninvited guest at the celebration of capitalism's demise as the black socialist vanguard strolls in carrying Che guevera and Huey Newton banners and someone had a little red book by MAO.....
Free American black muslims in intolerant democratic Christian communities forging a one-party state in our communities, Free American Black Republicans unafraid to embrace free market capitalism the same way Hispanics embrace the opportunity of entrepreneurship while blacks wait on government democrat socialists to create heaven on Earth only to find their freedoms slipping away just like the deluded members of the failed Soviet Union whose philosophy they still admire.
