About me:
Hi, i'm Shelby. I'm 26, from Detroit, Michigan. I went to Michigan State and have a degree in Political Theory Constitutional Democracy with a second degree in Social Relations and Policy.

I received my JD from UDC Law School in Washington, DC and started a new career this year in the child welfare/social policy arena.

I've been a constitutionalist since birth and the main reasons why:

1. Liberals/democrats only speak about black people in terms of welfare, poverty, drugs and absent fathers. Republicans/conservatives always speak about individuals, hard work, God, and more hard work. I think this is kinda naieve, but I'd much rather someone see me as a person and not a victim--liberals only see blacks as victims.

2. I read "The Mis-Education of the Negro" where Woodson has a great quote that stuck with me:

If the Negroes were granted the opportunity to pursue the Constitution, they might learn to contend for their rights therin guaranteed...and no Negro who gives attention to such matters of the government is tolerated...the [learning] of government, or the lack of such instruction, then, must be made to conform to the policy of 'keeping the Negro forever in his place'."

3. We have come further than any other group of people on the face of the earth--we are the LAST people to need the government at all

4. They want to keep us all dependent and think we are victims so they can control us--i.e. through the vote--they never want discrimination to end, our schools to improve, our poverty levels to lower--in fact, they want them higher so they can continue to control, abuse, and enslave.

My Response to Ms. Fluke---the Anti Feminist

Amid all the “controversy” with Ms. Fluke, the Georgetown University grad student whom testified before Congress regarding her “rights” as a woman and the difficulty she has obtaining reproductive health care and Rush Limbaugh, I thought as a young woman myself I would add my two cents about what I think of Ms. Fluke and her position on “women’s rights.”

The Black Liberal Mindset: Insulting black conservative women to feel like men

Posted on February 2, 2012 at 3:39pm 1 Comment

I am a 26 year old black constitutional conservative. I am smart, caring, analytical, opinionated, hard working, and an overall good woman. Yet to many in black liberal America I am simply a “sell-out” an “uncle tom,” an “oreo,” or my favorite, I am “pandering to the white man because I am ashamed of my race.

Well, with comments from black Americans like that then yes, I AM ASHAMED! For some reason, “blackness” has come to mean ignorance, liberal,…

1912 or 2012: Rally Cry for Black Conservatives

Posted on January 4, 2012 at 9:18am 0 Comments

When slavery ended in the United States there was a party that was very angry, upset, and terrified of what would happen if all men were created equal, treated fairly, and had the ability to pursue their own happiness free from tyranny. This party was the Democratic Party. The party that did not want Native Americans to be free, so their President, Andrew Jackson, sent them on a trail of tears and watched thousands of them parish as they were stripped from their natural rights as human…

What Happened to the American Soul?

As the United States celebrated its 235th birthday on Monday I immersed myself in all the traditional activities: fireworks, grilling, the History Channel, watching the movie “Independence Day” and my own personal tradition, reading a book on a great American to remind me of our nations…

My fellow UDC alum, Welcome!  It is an honor having you on board!  Keep the good news of conservatism going around the world through blogging and involving oneself in the upcoming Conference.  Befriend and keep the good fight for conservatism alive!

Shelby, thank you for your kind comments on my article re: the manipulation of the black vote - Miami style.  I would be proud for you to post it wherever you choose.  It is so good to see young professionals like you take a stand, based on reality, not on conjecture and the bull put out by the Democratic PR Hit Machine through the MSM.  I love people who do their own research.  It's an honor to have you as a friend.  God bless you and your family.
