In the face of Big Government usurpation of the civil liberties and responsibilities of citizens, silence and acquiescence are not options. Thank heaven for the assertive voice of blogs, podcasts and talk radio that did not give the Bush Administration any slack and will not give the Obama Administration any slack either. The mainstream media has become a propaganda tool for the "powers that be", leaving alternative news sources to challenge the status quo. Thomas Jefferson said, "Information is the currency of democracy" and informed citizens who bug the hell out of their Congressman is the best defense against socialistic "Big Government", in harmony with the above quote by the late conservative intellectual, William F. Buckley.
