The Right comments ad naseum about the " liberal plantation "; " Welfare State " ( ironically built brick-by-brick by both parties ). etc.

This article isn't an addition to that well documented monologue. It's my assessment on a group of allegedly well-intentioned folks who left their high ground on civil rights in favor of new lows in exploitation.

We know the Imperial Left decreed all Black folks should be Democrats. This remains in force despite acute need for representation on both sides of the aisle. Within the Black community this decree morphed into a litmus test so intolerant that if Malcolm X returned as " Malcolm the Republican " many former followers would reject him without second thought. The same hold true for any other progressive figure one could name.

That doesn't serve our interests in the least, especially when individuals whose input is desperately needed in the GOP and/or conservative circles avoid them like the plague. Into the vacuum stands a leadership whose views on race often reflect mine. Where we part company is this self-serving requirement that only they and their friends ( Politburo style ) enjoy good jobs and other opportunities at the expense of a perpetually disenfranchised and growing lower class falling farther behind under their rule.

The Imperial Left among my people has taken WEB DuBois Talented Tenth theory and used it to establish themselves as de facto monarchs over Black America. Their compassion always flows from tax payers coffers, NEVER from their pockets. During his presidential campaign candidate Obama, already a millionaire with a US Senator's salary to boot, refused to assist a high school classmate in a homeless shelter. Through intermediaries he told the man to contact area social service agencies. Here was a classic liberal brush off witnessed innumerable times over the years. Black liberal leaders ritually avoid expending personal resources while demanding more from tax payers every time at bat. This imperiousness hypocrisy of the worst order.

I usually avoid commenting on a man's wife for old fashioned reasons but suffice it to say Mrs. Obama's vacation junket to Spain seemed a little cold in light of rampant Black unemployment. While I don't expect them to turn all their holdings over for redistribution ( which they won't! lol. ), it would be nice if they remembered the little people who lined up at ghetto polling places as if their campaign were the Second Coming of the Christian Messiah.

The Imperial Left is a burden carried by hard working, open-minded Black folks who honestly think Democrats are the only political answer for a better America. To date, all their misplaced hope and votes in my era have gotten them is what author Tony Brown calls the " BUM " or " Black Unaccountable Machine. "

The BUM has made Black progress an initiation process for a select few at the expense of unselected multitudes. Around this tiny axis orbit perks and access other Blacks can only imagine. It seems in place of food and income we should vicariously live through the Obamas while our standard of living plummets lower than others.

The Imperial Left doesn't even say, " Let them eat cake. " Thus far, they don't care enough to say anything to impacted zip codes like mine.

While they blame the Right they overlook their crimes against the poor and people who work hard. play by the rules but don't have the pedigree to live the good life enjoyed by the upper crust of the Imperial left.

I've refused to bow down to them for one simple reason: a dictator who resembles me isn't an upgrade over one who doesn't.
